Fulham 2 vs. Aston
Villa 0
Assists; Dejagah,
Kacaniklic Goals; Sidwell, Berbatov
It was the first win for the new Fulham manager Rene
Muelensteen, the former Man United assistant coach. If the 1st half
performance is to go by then we should expect more from the Fulham side
inspired by Berbatov. Fulham took the lead when Sidwell scooped the ball over
Guzan and slotted the ball at the far post for the first goal of the night
assisted by Dejagah.
The second goal came shortly within the 1st
half when Kacaniklic was set through by Berbatov only to be brought down by
Bacuna. From the spot kick Berbatov wrong footed Guzan for the goal.
There were
no more goals as much as both teams tried their best. For fpl managers, there
is a concern with Benteke who continued to fire in blanks and has now gone 9
games without scoring. And if Berbatov is to reproduce such performance, then he
should be a transfer target for fpl managers.
Arsenal 1 vs. Everton
1
Assists; Walcott,
Lukaku Goals; Ozil, Deulofeu
Everton coming to the game after winning their previous game
at Old Trafford, dominated the first half and looked to win the match. But
Arsenal seemed to come back into the match in the second half but with no goal
to show for their effort. It took both managers to introduce fresh legs into
the game.
Wenger was 1st and made 3 substitutions of which the worn
out Ramsey was among the players taken off and in came Rosicky, Flamini and
Walcott while Martinez brought in Deulofeu who has become kind of a super sub to the toffes.
At the 80th minute Ozil
scored from a Walcott pass only for Everton to level scores from a Deulofeu
goal assisted by Lukaku. Both teams deserved the shared points.
It will be a
stern test for the league leaders who will face Man city and Chelsea in their
next consecutively coming fixtures. Everton could be considered to have an easy
fixture of which Lukaku, who has assisted in both previous 2 games, expected to
shine together with Deulofeu.
Swansea 1 vs. Hull
City 1
Assists; Elmohamady,
Shelvey Goals; Graham, Flores
Swansea welcoming back Michu back to the side after 5 months
expected to continue from where they had left off after winning 3-0 against New
castle in the last match.
But they found themselves at the back foot after conceding
a goal after 9 minutes of a play. Ashley William mistake gifted Elmohamady the ball and from a fine cross, Graham haunted his former side with a
goal.
And without celebrating, this goal meant he had end his goal drought of
nine months. The host tried to come back into the match only to equalize with a
controversial goal. From a short corner by Shelvey, the ball hit Flores and
flew into the net though replays suggested the ball had come off his arm on the
way into the net. Hull city were able to hold off Swansea and the game ended in
a draw.
It is yet to be seen if Michu will continue with his good form ever
since joining the premier league side and being among the most picked player by
fantasy managers.
