Things to Consider Before Confirming Your Captain Choice for GW15

09:39

What if you captain Suarez and he blanks ? Ever been in a situation where your captain does not start and your vice is a goalkeeper?

GW15 is here with us and managers are busy researching about their preferred but most will only ignore and cap Suarez since he scored a hat trick in GW14 .

But before we give him he captain arm band we should not ignore the facts about this gameweek's captain picks.Below we will have an in depth analysis of GW15 probable captain picks

Usual suspects

Luis Suarez vs West Ham(H)

>It's obvious that almost all managers are captaining Suarez without even doing some research about him. Because of this, managers should know that Suarez has never scored a goal against West ham.

>This stat should be given a lot of consideration since Suarez had scored  2 hat-tricks against Norwich prior to the midweek game and he continued the streak in a  positive way . Suarez has not scored against West Ham in his Liverpool career and let's just hope the odds won't go against him this time.

> It is also worth noting that West Ham defend better away from home ,with just 5 goals conceded this season. But with Suarez on good home form at the moment and West Ham conceding to the likes of Chamakh no one can overrule that he should still be top captain candidate.

Sergio Aguero vs Southampton(A)

>Man city ended their away games voodoo on Wednesday by beating West Brom.

>Aguero was the first to open the scoring and with city facing southampton, who are now three games without a win and missing almost 8 key players( like Schneiderlin, Clyne, Wanyama).

>Southampton might be exposed by rampant City attack. If they are exposed Aguero is the man to do so because of his fine form.

Eden Hazard vs Stoke City(A)

>Chelsea are scoring a lot goals lately and its unlike the Mourinho we know.

>Hazard has now averaged 13.5 points for the last two away games against mid table opposition .

>With Stoke City not that impressing defensively he could come good . If you are looking for a differential captain choice then he is your man.

Unusual Suspects

Yaya Toure vs Southampton(A)

>Yaya is the kind of defensive midfielder who finds himself in good positions.

>With Southampton lacking their two defensive mids he might come good as a differential captain and having scored twice in mid week ,he might be high on confidence right now. Worth giving him the arm band.

Ozil vs Everton(H)

> Ozil has garnered 11 points in each of the last two games, he is now a man on form.

>He might offer a differential option as a captain pick but the problem is one does not know when he will assist and he faces tough opposition.

Conclusion

Majority of the gameweeks are determined by who you captain and who your opponent captains.

The moment your captain choice scores or assists you can't resist not to celebrate but when the clock reaches the 80th minute and he has nothing is when you start regretting about the choice you made.

Whenever in doubt about captaincy option cap the guy who is playing at home.
