Things you Need Know about GW14 Midweek games Part 2

15:47

Tired of waiting for analysis of part two, here it is with some surprises.

Arsenal 2 vs. Hull city 0
Assists; Jenkinson, Ramsey Goals; Bendtner (surprise surprise) Ozil

With Wenger rotating his squad for the busy December schedule, he gave a starting berth to the want away, Barcelona/ Real Madrid bound  striker, Bendtner, for the first time in Epl this season.

Before the home fans could boo him, he scored his goal within the first minute of the game heading from a Jenkinson’s cross after a good build up play involving Ramsey.

Hull city seemed to keep things tight but then conceded the 2nd goal a minute after halftime when Ozil scored from a neat pass from non-other than the Ramsey (it is no surprise that rumours have him as a Barca target).

Hull city seemed a pale shadow of the team that won 3-1 against Liverpool. With his rich vein of form Ramsey is a must have in any fantasy team. Also Ozil has been in sparkling form for the last two gameweeks averaging 11 points.

Crystal Palace 1 vs. West ham 0
Assist; Bannan Goal; Chamakh

With Tony Pulis back in the epl, he earned his first win thanks to a Marouane Chamakh header.
As expected with his teams, Crystal scored their only goal after a poor corner delivery by Bannan but the former villa man made amends and delivered a perfect cross for Chamakh to score.

For the rest of the game, Pulis’s side defended stoutly as a team and earned their much needed 3points to aid them in the relegation battle.

Fpl managers need to consider the crystal defenders as they are expected to keep more clean sheets and come for a bargain price. For more info read my article about cheap defenders

It was a disappointing outing for west ham and ravel Morrison was to see red but got booked and misses the next match.

Man u 0 vs. Everton 1
Assist; Lukaku Goal; Oviedo

Man on the spotlight had to be Moyes, the former coach of Everton, who has not fully convinced the Old Trafford faithful with his performance.

And if this game was to prove the critics wrong then Moyes has to wait longer as Oviedo snatched a late winner after being assisted by the inform Lukaku.
Both teams had fair chances before the goal and Everton were fortunate to hold on for the win.

Rooney also a former player of Everton was unlucky not to be on the score sheet and got booked which means he misses the next match through suspension.

All those with Rooney in their fpl team should be hitting the transfer button and maybe get Lukaku as his replacement though he faces a tricky outing at North London vs Arsenal.

West Brom 2 vs. Man city 3
Assists; Zabaleta, Kolarov 2, Vydra,
Goals; Aguero, Toure (2), Pantilimon (OG), Anichebe

Man city are having a poor away record this season but had a good start to the match with two goals by halftime.

Aguero scored the first after being set up by Zabaleta from the right. Then Toure scored the second from Kolarov’s cross. Toure doubled his score the 2nd half after Kolarov was brought down at the penalty box.

There was to be a late scare from West brom when City’s keeper scored an own goal and later on Anichebe added the second on stoppage time but it was too late for a comeback and man city managed to win their 2nd away match this season.

Toure together with Aguero proved again why they should be on every fpl manager team and thoughts about any possible transfer with Nasri, who played very well, also a cheap player to consider.
It was also a bad day for Negredo's owners since he started on the bench.

Swansea 3 vs. Newcastle 0
Assists; Pozuelo, Shelvey, Dyer Goals; Dyer, Debuchy (OG), Shelvey

Newcastle four-match winning streak was brought to an end at the Liberty stadium after a fine performance from Shelvey, a former Liverpool player. Dyer scored the first goal after Krul palmed away a Pozuelo shot.

Newcastle found themselves at the back foot after an own goal from Debuchy before Shelvey capped the superb performance with a well struck shot into the top corner.

Swansea missing two of their strikers in Michu and Bony was quite a surprise with such a score line.
The in-form Newcastle striker Remy was not on the score sheet though is still a nice bet for anybody’s fantasy team. Pozuelo got an assist on the game and coming at just 4.2 he might offer a cheap passage into the Swansea midfield

That's it for now guyz feel free to share your experiences about fpl and comment on any changes on this blog. The next article will be posted at around 16GMT tomorrow.
